Dolan the Immigration Outlaw

This morning I awoke with a funny feeling that I should check my passport. The document is pretty much full at this point with stamps, to the point where the customs agents usually have to flip about 12 pages to find somewhere to stamp it, so it figures that I’ve had it for a while. Turns out I got it in 1993, in April, meaning it expired last month. …and we’re leaving for LA this coming Friday.

An appointment was made rather immediately thereafter for Tuesday morning. Let’s hope all goes well and I don’t have to postpone this trip and eat a lot of $ in unused airline tickets. I figure that $60 “expediting” fee has to go to something — let’s hope that something is efficiency!

I visited the passport office today. Everything went fine, and they should have it ready by tomorrow afternoon. Huzzah!
