The Kindness of Strangers

Renee and I rode the Cheese Factory Cruise this weekend in glorious sunshine this weekend (enough to make us red all over). The ride started off well, but soon enough Renee’s front tire was looking really low. We pulled over to investigate, and sure enough, it wasn’t holding air. The worst thing was, it was unpatchable — the valve had seperated from the tube where they were joined.

Luckily enough, this very cool guy rode up and offered us a tube and saved the day. Now we are going to carry two tubes with us in addition to our patch kit — one for emergencies and one for karma. Thanks again random goateed carpenter dude who recently moved to Novato from Colorado!
