Hailing All Cars

The past couple have days have brought interesting weather. Yesterday Renee’s umbrella was destroyed by a gust, and driving to work was a bit hairy to say the least with strong winds blowing in from the west. Felt sorry for drivers of tall, lightweight vehicles. Not the time to be out cruising in a VW van or a Rav4. By 7am the traffic report stated that the CHP was tracking 250 incidents. Not a good sign.

Today we ran in light rain, which wasn’t so bad considering later it hailed on everything in sight. Luckily it didn’t do much damage, but it sure made a racket against our 80 year old windowpanes. The hail ranged in size between BBs and peas. Glad we didn’t get caught running in that. Ouch.

We’ll see what mother nature has in store for us — hopefully back to the old sunshine 🙂
